A crescent of fine sand in the pine forest, within the Alimini Lakes protected oasis. The name recalls the Ottoman landing of 1480, just before the siege of Otranto.

After Baia dei Turchi the landscape shifts: lagoon on one side, open Adriatic on the other. This stretch opens the North Extended route.
NORTH EXTENDEDSant'Andrea sea stacks
Limestone sea stacks and walls off Torre SantāAndrea, finale of the North Extended tour. The best known, the Loversā Arch, collapsed in the storm of 14-15 February 2026: it now lies on the seabed, and that stretch of coast already looks different.
